1,881 GUITARISTS-NEW WORLD RECORD 2007

I was there!
It was an incredible experience for me standing on stage and playing "Hey Joe” with my old friends at the Thanks Jimi Festival in my hometown Wroclaw in Poland on May 1st, 2007.
Together with 1,881 guitarists, who gathered on the Old Town Square, we broke Wroclaw’s own Guinness World Record as the greatest rock orchestra in the world.
Guitarists from Lund in Sweden joined this event through Internet as well. About 26 musicians played “Hey Joe” in the Tuna School’s assembly hall. Although there were some Internet problems they made it! I would like to thank all of you for the fantastic work you did. Participants, parents and especially the following team, who made this project possible:
Axel Lagerquist (student)
Viktor Fabri (student)
Thomas Lindvall (teacher)
Henrik Foung (teacher)
Thomas Tomaszek (Tuna School’s IT-Guru)

Nybro joined the event too. Lennart “Lelle” Persson with his guitar-students from Kulturskolan did a great job! Check out Lelle Persson's website with Nybro guitar-record videolink.
Thanks Leszek Cichonski for this exciting international music meeting in
